This is my testimony! After a series of days weeks and months, I finally completed my Fine Art Portfolio!
I owe my achievements to the support of strong community, and the guidance of my God.
God has blessed me exceedingly abundantly above all that I could imagine or think.
I am thrilled to express my gratitude and share the journey with you!
In my junior year of high school, I began taking classes at the New York School of Arts in Tysons Corner, Virginia to build my art Portfolio. The days were long, and the nights were longer. Little did I know that the studio would be like a second home. I spent each day there, working on my artwork, aiming to create a robust portfolio for college applications to some of the best Art Schools in America. This school not only offered a rigorous program, but I was also challenged, and they expected determination and discipline. I learned to trust myself as an artist and seek guidance from credible instructors to enhance my overall gifts.
The pressure was on. Every week I'd receive an assignment. There were no breaks and I had to complete my program in 1 year instead of two. Somedays, I cried not knowing how I was going to make it through. But the process turned out to be invaluable part. I learned how to tap into another dimension to my creative potential. Mixed mediums, paint, collage, graphite, sculpture, and design were experimented with, and I finished my course with flying colors.
